Oso & Me makes kids' clothing with the kind of personality that's gotten them into Vogue, goop, and the Today show. Their previous theme had done its job, but it was slow and stuffed with apps. We rebuilt the store from scratch on Shopify Plus - including a custom monogramming framework built specifically for their personalization business.

Oso & Me makes children’s clothing with bold color, playful illustration, and a sensibility that’s picked up features in Vogue, goop, New York Magazine, InStyle, Martha Stewart, and the Today show. Personalization is a core part of the business - shoppers can monogram clothes, blankets, bags, and accessories with a name or initials in the style they choose.

The Challenge

A theme that had grown too heavy to move fast

Oso’s previous theme had served its purpose, but it was aging and bloated with apps and tacked-on functionality. Performance had suffered, and the monogramming experience - a key differentiator for the brand - was constrained by what off-the-shelf tools could do. The business had outgrown the setup it started on.

What We Did

A pixel-perfect theme, and a monogramming tool built from the ground up

We built a new Shopify Plus theme from scratch, custom-building every aspect for pixel-perfect design and fast performance. That meant no workarounds, no compromises from a base theme - every layout, interaction, and edge case was built to match the brand exactly.

The centerpiece was a custom monogramming framework built specifically for Oso, with a fully tailored layout, live previewing, and a smooth ordering flow that no pre-built app could replicate. We also overhauled the shopping experience across the catalog - usable color swatches, seamless filtering, and a model view toggle on collection pages so shoppers can see pieces in context before they buy.

The Results
